Our work with families includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Helping with general information about the immigration system for adults and children

Helping parents to locate children slated for deportation and partnering with attorneys to stop those deportations

Connecting families with their children in detention and working to get children released to safe and loving sponsors

Keeping endangered MPP families safe by evacuating and relocating them to safe shelter

Locating culturally sensitive medical and mental health assistance for traumatized children and parents.

Documenting and reporting episodes of mistreatment (medical maltreatment, sexual, emotional, physical abuse) in detention facilities

Providing support and medical oversight for those sheltering the most vulnerable children and families in MPP
